Companies decide to splash the cash

with one comment

I recently blogged about dividend-paying equities.

As a follow-up, it’s interesting to note that a lot of companies are looking at, or acting on splashing their cash into the pockets of investors. Companies that have been hording cash hoping such vaults of cash would see them through the dark times since the financial crisis of a few years ago are now starting to see the advantages in sharing those piles of cash by:

  • increasing dividends
  • buying back shares, and
  • examining the opportunities in mergers and acquisitions
